At Selby-Snelling, what kind of political action committee is the WAC PAC?

Psst! The WAC PAC, a new political party, has formed in St. Paul, and they even have a prominent storefront in the up-and-coming southwest corner of Selby-Snelling (Snelby!) to prove it.

What they don’t have is any interest in seeing you, by appointment or otherwise. As their website explains:

Our hours Monday through Friday, Saturdays and Sundays we are always open, you may never come in.
Hours
Monday – Always Open … No Admittance
Tuesday – Always Open … No Admittance
Wednesday – Always Open … No Admittance
Thursday – Always Open … No Admittance
Friday – Always Open … No Admittance
Saturday – Always Open … No Admittance
Sunday – Always Open … No Admittance

The WAC PAC does not want your membership.

The hard-to-miss space was previously occupied by a photographer’s guild, which has moved to Highland Park, according to Scoop spies. So what is this gimmick? Who thought up this shtick? And who’s paying for it?

The website of the Whimsical Alternatives Coalition Political Awareness Consortium (http://www.thewacpac.com/) is beyond bewildering, leaving the Scoop with more questions than answers. The plot thickens (or is that sickens?). Enlighten us, someone, if you will…
