Jokes about Adolph Hitler tend to fall flat around these parts, even parodies. Heck, the Scoop didn't much care for "The Producers," and everybody loves The Producers.

But whatever devilish cycling enthusiast subtitled this 4-minute YouTube video of Mein Fuhrer apparently railing against the St. Paul  Bicycle Plan and the proposed downtown bike loop certainly had some time on his or her hands. Say what you will, the dialogue's a tad clever.

Key lines:

Hitler: "You mean, I cannot park in front of Candyland?"

Nervous general: "Mein Fuhrer, there is parking across the street, and down the street."

Second nervous general: "And most of the parking garages are empty. It shouldn't impact your way of life..."

Hitler, yelling: "...Parking garages are scary! I don't want to walk across the street!"

Another key take-away:

Hitler: "They took away Barnes and Noble in Highland Park! My favorite local bookstore! And they're putting in a Target Express! There's already no parking over there, no parking at all!"

Woman, whispering to weeping female: "He doesn't even know about the plan for bikes on Lexington."

Hitler: "I just hope they don't put bikes on Lexington. ... What is happening to my beloved city? ... Has anyone written to The Villager?"
